Summer Coffee Recipes

Simply preparing iced coffee and making it a bit sweeter doesn’t exactly make it a summer coffee drink. Wouldn’t you like your summer coffee to also taste a bit like summer? We’ve found a few recipes that do just that. Get your summer tastebuds and your sense of adventure ready. These recipes are definitely not your usual coffee drinks.

rbk-spicy-mayan-mocha-lgnSpicy Godiva Iced Mocha

  • 1 tbsp Vietnamese cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Chipotle pepper
  • 8 oz Godiva Chocolate Truffle coffee
  • 8 oz milk
  • 1/2 glass of ice cubes

Mix together the cinnamon, cocoa powder, sugar, nutmeg, and Chipotle powder. Combine the coffee and 1 tbsp of the mix and stir until dissolved. Add the milk and ice cubes, and stir gently. Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and the rest of the spicy powder mix.

Iced Mandarin Orange Cafe Mocha

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp instant coffee granules
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 3 clementine mandarin oranges
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 1/4 cup half & half (or cream)

Mix together the milk, cocoa powder, and sugar in a small pan. Add in the instant coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves to taste. Squeeze the juice from the oranges into the mixture. Heat on medium and stir constantly. Do not boil the concoction. Keep stirring until it starts to thicken. Turn off heat, let it cool down for 5 minutes, and pour over ice. Add cream to taste.

Coconut Iced Coffee

  • 2 tbsp instant coffee
  • 2 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp boiling water
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup ice-cold water
  • 1/2 cup cold milk
  • ice cubes

Add coffee, sugar, and boiling water to a glass. Stir until dissolved. While stirring, add in coconut milk and vanilla. Top with cold water and cold milk, and add ice cubes as desired.

  • 1 oz macadamia nut syrup
  • 1 oz coconut syrup
  • 1 oz banana syrup
  • 3 oz espresso (or really strongly brewed coffee)
  • 7 oz milk

Mix together the syrups, milk, and then espresso. Pour over ice and garnish with banana slices!
