Nutella is kind of in right now, to say the least. It’s all the rage as a healthier, yet tasty alternative to traditional spreads for breakfast or a snack. Its hazelnut flavors are definitely not new to coffee, but the notion of combining nutella itself with your coffee is a bit of a nuanced idea.
If you’re quite the nutella connoisseur, you might enjoy this nutella iced coffee recipe posted on Times of India.
You will need the following ingredients:
- 2 spoonfuls of instant coffee powder
- 2 spoonfuls of nutella
- 1 and 1/2 glass of chilled low fat milk
- Sugar or honey
- 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
- Ice cubes
Combine everything in a blender EXCEPT for the ice cubes and blend them at the highest speed setting. Drop 2-3 ice cubes into two glasses and then add in 2-3 spoons of ice cream. Pour the coffee into the glasses. Garnish with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, or even coffee powder.
If you want to make a frozen treat, add ice to the blender and forgo the additional spoonfuls of ice cream.
You could even use nutella to make your own version of a hazelnut macchiato!
